Growing in Love While Serving the Community Together
Norberto Fonseca and Wanda Ríos met in 2009 while both were serving their community in Central Florida. Norberto was working as an activities coordinator at a senior center, and Wanda was a physical therapist. What began as a shared passion for helping others soon became the foundation of their relationship.
Over the years, their commitment to service grew alongside their partnership. Together, they helped launch a senior center and food pantry, Advance Senior Center in Osceola County, responding to the needs they saw among older adults living on limited incomes.
When the COVID-19 pandemic brought uncertainty and rising need, they made a life-changing decision as a couple to dedicate themselves fully to serving their community. Even during challenging times, they stood side by side, adapting and continuing to show up for neighbors.
Their journey is more than service. It is a love story rooted in faith, shared purpose, and deep commitment. Norberto and Wanda support one another through every challenge, understanding that love is also expressed through action.
Their relationship has been strengthened by their mission, showing that when two hearts are united in service, the impact reaches far beyond their own lives and into the community around them.
