For nearly 14 years, the Methodist Church of Geneva has been a beacon of hope in the community, living out their mission by serving others. Every week, the pantry provides a generous box of food- including meat, canned goods, produce, bread, and even dessert, to 100-150 families, reaching up to 400 individuals.

The pantry operates with compassion and purpose, recognizing that hunger affects both the body and the soul. Over the years, they’ve built strong relationships with the neighbors they serve, offering not just food, but encouragement and a listening ear.

One of the pantry’s greatest challenges was securing reliable transportation for food pickups. Thanks to their commitment and creativity, they now rent a U-Haul weekly to ensure consistent service. Their partnership with Second Harvest has been central to their success, supplying the bulk of food that fuels their mission.

Run entirely by dedicated volunteers—many of whom have served since day one—this pantry thrives on community spirit. With dreams of expanding their outreach and resources, the Methodist Church of Geneva continues to be a place of nourishment, connection, and hope.
