Agency Spotlight: St. Paul A.M.E. Church

For more than a decade, St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Winter Garden has been a steady source of nourishment and hope for its neighbors. What began as a small pantry has grown into a vital ministry now serving more than 400 individuals and families each month. Guided by a mission of compassion, the church not only provides nutritious food but also offers tailored items for those managing diabetes, heart conditions, and obesity—ensuring support for both immediate and long-term health.

The impact of their work reaches beyond food. St. Paul A.M.E. also provides free clothing and essential non-food items, helping families meet a broader range of daily needs with dignity and care. Their commitment to serving the whole person makes the pantry a true community care center.

One of their most cherished traditions is the annual Thanksgiving distribution. In 2024, thanks to support from Second Harvest Food Bank and partners such as the 100 Black Men of Greater Orlando, the church provided 25 complete holiday meals, giving families the chance to gather, celebrate, and share fellowship.

We at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida are grateful for our partnership with St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Their dedication and compassion are making a lasting difference for families across the community.
